FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE FEBRUARY 21, 2019 AUTHOR BRINGS STORY OF NARCOTRAFICANTE TO LIBRARY FOR FREEDOM TO READ WEEK Rachel Sutton will be in Kamloops on tour for her first book, Avenida de los Maestros: Walk of the Teachers. She will be speaking at the Kamloops Library on Thursday, February 28th from 6:00-7:30 pm. Her novel digs into the dark world of narcotraficante activities in Mexico, showcasing the current state of affairs through the eyes of an American teacher and a young Mexican street child. Rachel will bring the story to life through her performance of folk songs, a reading, and a discussion of the intersection between politics and narcotics in today's world. Rachel will also share the challenges she faced from the publishing world due to the controversial topics in her book.
