I enjoyed speaking at North Kamloops Library last Saturday. Big thanks
to Kamloops This Week for the article they published the day before,
April 27, 2018. It's the article in black and white. Thanks also to The
Connector for the article they published. It's in blue.

The following interesting message from Adam Mawer comes via former Interior Authors Group member Donna Ebl. Thanks, Donna & Adam.

Hello Donna ,
I hope all is well!
I wanted to briefly inform you that #CanLitPit (Canadian Literature Pitch) will return on Wednesday, July 11, 2018. Last February, #CanLitPit became the #6 trend on Twitter with over 500 pitches posted by Canadian writers across the country. #CanLitPit received support from The Vancouver Writers Festival, Word on the Street Toronto, and the Ottawa Writers Festival which established the event as a can't miss opportunity for Canadian writers.
Also, we're pleased to announce that two writers who participated in #CanLitPit 2017 were signed to publishing contracts by established Canadian presses. One of these authors, Monique Grey Smith, encourages all Canadian writers to participate in #CanLitPit as "beautiful things really can happen!" Monique's book, Tilly and the Crazy Eights, will be published with Second Story Press October 2018.
As a reminder, this fun and interactive online event provides your members with the opportunity to pitch their unpublished manuscript to potential Canadian publishers. Past participating publishers include ECW Press, Coteau Books, Bookth*g, Turnstone Press, Goose Lane Editions, and many more.
We are currently in the process of confirming 2018 participating publishers which will be announced on our website and social media in the coming weeks.
If possible, could you please include information about the next #CanLitPit in an upcoming newsletter or email blast to your members? We'd appreciate your help in making the next #CanLitPit on July 11, 2018 even bigger and better than the previous event.
If you could get back to me by April 15, 2018, I would appreciate it. :)
Best Wishes,
Adam
