Christian small publishers

The Christian Small Publishers Association invites votes for books in
various categories [fiction, nonfiction, children's, etc.] If you know and
like some of the books listed, you may wish to vote. Also the web site is a
good resource for authors wanting names of Christian small publishers along
with some idea of what they publish. Here's the link:

great website on getting published

Nelson Literary Agency has a great web site that gives lots of info and links regarding getting published. It's especially helpful because it includes a number of sample query letters and commentary on them. Here's the link:

new Writers House agent & Daphne du Maurier competition

Stephen Barr, new agent at Writers House, is open to memoirs, narrative nonfiction that tackles difficult issues, YA, middle grade, picture books, and fiction that "gets to know at least one character really, really well." He also likes thrillers, mysteries, ghost stories, portrayals of abnormal psychology, and humor. E-query with the first five or ten pages of the manuscript to sbarr[at]writershouse.com with the word "Query" in the subject line.

The Daphne du Maurier competition is open for published and unpublished novels of mystery/suspense with romantic elements. For more info and entry forms, visit: http://www.rwamysterysuspense.org
