The open-pit Ajax mine proposed for just south of Kamloops is a baaaad idea in many people's opinion. Too many negative health and environmental effects. Peter Kerek, president of the Kamloops and District Labour Council, is one of those opposed to the mine. He just announced he’s running for Kamloops' City Council.
