critique groups

I'm the moderator of a Christian critique group called ReVision. You
need to belong to The Word Guild in order to join ReVision. The Word
Guild is an association of Canadian writers, editors, librarians, etc.
who are Christian. It costs about $90 or about $130 to join as a new
member, depending on the category of membership you fit into.

Regarding non-specifically Christian critique groups, I like Internet
Writers Workshop. Within it are various groups including one
specifically for novels, one for children's writers, one for short
stories, etc. It's free to join though there are quite a few rules,
not that hard to follow once you catch onto them. Other pretty good
critique groups are YouWriteOn and Scribophile. They're also free to
join and again there are quite a few rules. They don't give you as
many critiques as quickly. When I post something to my Internet
Writers Workshop group, I usually get about six crits within two weeks
or so. Of course members expect you to critique their stuff in return.
Otherwise they may not continue critiquing you. That's only fair.
